At Catholic Regional College, we offer Italian as a study subject. Every two years (in an odd numbered year), our student have the opportunity to visit Italy and to be hosted by an Italian family in our sister school. The sister school arrangement was established in 2007 with a group of 15 Italian students and teachers visiting just prior to Easter in 2008. This reciprocal visit to each other's country will continue so that all students have the opportunity to apply to go to Italy. Students usually spend two weeks travelling around Italy visiting Venice, Rome, Florence and other famous cities before spending a week in Senegalia in the Marche, near Ancona on the Adriatic Sea.Preference is given to students who are studying Italian or Art and who have hosted an Italian student or commit to hosting an Italian student on their return visit to Australia. This is an exciting program that results in lifelong friendships being formed for students and families alike. Additional information is available from the Italian teacher at the College.
